The staff of San Clemente Optometry is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of the optical field. Our Certified opticians enjoy caring for our patients as they help them choose the best frame for their face shape coupled with education on the best lens choices for your custom needs. The detailed measurements needed for optimal results in your lens selection is also a part of this process. Whether for outdoors, reading, computer, progressive or all of the above, our friendly staff is waiting to meet your eyecare needs with care, attentiveness and even some fun!

Dr. David J. Nota

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Nota has been serving the area of San Clemente since 1994. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree after four years of post-graduate academics and clinical studies at Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA.

Lori

Office Manager

Lori has been a part of San Clemente Optometry since its inception. She is the frame buyer and overall Supervisor and has the “most favored” title of being Dr. Nota’s wife of 30 years.

Stacy

Optician

We welcome the newest member of our team, Stacy, who brings with her excellent skills in communication and attention to detail. She will serve you with all of the expertise and flare for fashion needed to fulfill your individual eye-wear needs. Her love and desire to educate and work with people fits right in with our team. We are so happy to have her join our staff here at San Clemente Optometry.

Terie

Optician

Terie is our 16-year Optician who will make your visit both educative and, most definitely, FUN as she helps to select, calculate, measure and fit the best eyewear for your needs. Everyone loves Terie and enjoys her contagious laugh.

Beth

Front Desk

Beth is our part-time employee. She works tirelessly on her breaks from college at Biola University. We welcome her whenever she is in town as she is a proficient, practical and proactive worker. Her future has in view the acquisition of her Doctor of Optometry degree as a possible post-graduate goal. Beth is a gift to us whenever she is here with us!

Heather

Front Desk

Heather is a breath of fresh air and will greet you with her contagious smile that will brighten your day! She will help set up your appointments, check your insurance, and do your pre-testing. Heather will certainly help make your experience at our office a positive one!

Jackie

Optical Assistant

Jackie is multifaceted. She assists our Optician in our Lab as well as in our dispensary. She can help you select your frames and lenses, and does contact lens training among her many other functions. Her sweet disposition and kindly demeanor makes her a pleasure to work with.

Maria

Front Desk/ Administrative Assistant

Maria is the perfect mixture of caring and serving while not sacrificing attention to detail. Any difficult questions or situations, she is your gal! She goes above and beyond to make sure she attends to our patient’s needs. Maria truly is an asset to the overall atmosphere of San Clemente Optometry as she constantly goes the extra mile.

Deana has been in the world of Optometry for over 15 years. She loves all aspects of the business but insurance is what she loves best. She has a passionate heart and a warm smile that she brings to our office!
